Virtual YA Book Club 2013

Hi, everyone! Thanks for your patience with the changing schedule of the Virtual YA Book Club. Long story short, I got really sick at the end of the year, travel, and an unexpected move made December and January a blur for me.

But I’d love to get back on track for reading great, new, interesting YA books. I know we’re all so busy so I was thinking of reading 6 books and giving each book 2 months so you have time to find and read the book.

Our next book is Fingerprints of You by Kristen-Paige Madonia. Please read it by Sunday, February 24. I met Kristen-Paige at Wordstock 2012 in Portland, OR and she’d love to do a Twitter chat with us to discuss the book and her journey as a YA author.

So to kick off this year of great reading, please answer a few questions and I’ll put together a schedule and hopefully a Twitter chat with Kristen-Paige.

  1. I hope you’re feeling better now, Jen!

I voted for Monday, but any of those days would work for me.

And I voted for Just One Day because I think it’s something everyone will want to read but I’d also like to vote for Hold Still and Then You Were Gone as I’ve already read Divergent, Beautiful Creatures, and Thirteen Reasons Why, so I probably won’t re-read them 🙂

  2. Great list! I would have voted for about 5 of them if the poll would have let me! Any way to pass along my other picks?

  3. I was on my iPad last night, and my fingers were too cold to type properly! 🙂 I would love to read any of these: Pure, The Divergent Series, Hold Still, Thirteen Reasons, Beautiful Creatures, and Just One Day. So many good books!

  4. Hi, Jen! I hope you are feeling better and enjoying the new year. I voted for Gayle Foreman’s Just One Day, but I would also vote for Thirteen Reasons Why, Beautiful Creatures and Then You Were Gone. Thanks for organizing all of this, Jen!
