My Life in Pictures
Today was all about visiting @miss.meg.yeah in Jersey, Strollo’s Italian Ice, and romping in a Park Slope playground. A pretty great day! 💗
Today was my first solo day in the city, meeting my editors. First stop was the Hearst building to chat with my fantastic @oprahmagazine editor who gave me the April 2019 issue where I contributed a piece on eco-friendly pet toys. I remember a decade ago admiring the Hearst building as a young writer. After a bite with @davidplicata, I headed to the Meredith offices to chat with my editor at @real_simple and was treated to this beautiful view of the city. The weather is perfect and I’m enjoying every minute of solo time.
Yesterday, Chloe and Claire rode the subway (or as Claire calls it, “the sub-a-way”) for the first time. We went to a small Chinese bakery for a taro tapioca drink and sticky rice red bean desserts. Then, we had the most delicious and fun Malaysian dinner at @kopitiamnyc with our friends @yin_i_am and @moonlynnstagram. My girls devoured the dishes. Chloe told @b_hay42 she wanted to own a restaurant and make people food after learning that Moonlynn co-owned the restaurant we ate at. What wonderful role models of two amazing women!!! PS. Our food tour of NYC is stuffing us silly. 😋
We’re in NYC. Years ago, Brendan and I moved in together to a tiny one-bedroom in Park Slope. Now, true to the neighborhood, we’re back with our daughters. We’ve been exploring, eating, and seeing friends and family. I miss this city.
Last night, @b_hay42 and I went to see a screening of The Farewell, starring the *amazing* @awkwafina. (Fantastic movie coming out this summer.) Afterwards, we got some cocktails on the patio and were treated to this stunning view of LA. I love this city.
