Bio

I am a freelance journalist who has written for print and online, including pieces in the New York Times, O: The Oprah Magazine, Real Simple, and Bust. I have a MFA and BFA in dramatic writing from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. I’m a proud volunteer for WriteGirl, a creative writing and mentoring organization, and a loving foster kitten parent for Best Friends Los Angeles. I am represented by literary agent Caitie Flum at Liza Dawson Associates. I live in Los Angeles with my TV writer husband, twins, two pugs, and a cat named Gremlin.

My Current Favorite Books: The Book of (More) Delights by Ross Gay, Yellowface by R.F. Kuang, all the Heartstopper books by Alice Oseman, The House in the Cerulean Sea by TK Klune, and anything by Jasmine Guillory.

Favorite TV shows: Loot, Ted Lasso, Bluey, Queer Eye, RuPaul’s Drag Race, and whatever show my husband is working on right now.

My writing playlist: Raye, Elton John, Dua Lipa, Ashe, Lizzo, and Beyoncé.
