I’m honored and excited to announce that I am a LANDO Grant finalist from the deGroot Foundation!!! If I’m granted an award, I plan to use the funds to write my adult historical fiction novel about Chinatowns in California.

The grant is named after Barry Lando, an award-winning investigative journalist and former 60 Minutes producer, to provide the LANDO grants for writers exploring the issues of and solutions to the challenges of migration, immigration or the refugee experience.
